🐱 STRAW
© OLIWIA BOBER 2O23
A testament to my short-lived obsession with a straw I saw on TikTok and a long-lived obsession with things that have flames on them.

'BITTER/SWEET', ACRYLIC AND INK ON PAPER, 146X85CM
About the sometimes blurred lines of consent. Final segment of the night out. Either bitter or sweet, but not both.

EVERPRESS COLLABORATION
T-shirt collaboration with Everpress for their Christmas campaign. For all the big and small HoHoHos.
POINT 1O1
Commissioned by Point1O1 to market their artwork digitisation services. Chaos on the dance floor – a continuation of the night from the smoking area.
'SMOKING AREA', ACRYLIC ON PAPER, 69X42CM
HAND-PAINTED SKATEBOARD
For an old flame. They know I'm using it for self-promotion. Or at least they will now.
Reminiscent of sweaty, crowded smoking areas, of clammy hands exchanging badly rolled cigarettes and leaving drinks at the door for them to be never seen again. A tribute to carefree nights out.
CALENDAR 2O21
Cover for a 2O21 calendar. All the illustrations inside were inspired by my 2 day car journeys to Poland every summer and the weird positions I'd contort my body into every 15 minutes to forget about one of my limbs going numb. Wearing a seatbelt in all of them, of course, but probably rendering it useless.
'2O2O/2O19', ACRYLIC ON PAPER, 15OX2OOCM
A self-proclaimed lockdown masterpiece, a visual diary for 2O19 and the first few months of 2O2O. I turned lists into scenes and situated them within the florals and the geometric structure that underpins the whole composition. Each segment works on its own and is part of a larger puzzle that makes up the entire illustration.
